Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Productbox collects through productbox.dev, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: August 2, 2026

1. Information we collect

We collect information in a few limited ways:

  • Information you give us directly: your name, work email, company, and project details when you submit our contact form, email us at info@productbox.dev, or book a consultation through Calendly.
  • Usage data: pages visited, referring URLs, device and browser type, and general location, collected automatically through standard web and privacy-friendly analytics tooling so we can understand how visitors use the site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: small files used to keep the site functioning correctly and to understand aggregate traffic patterns. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work, though some preferences may not persist.

We do not knowingly collect protected health information (PHI) or other sensitive personal data through productbox.dev itself. Where we process PHI on behalf of a client as part of an engineering engagement, that processing is governed by the applicable services agreement and, where required, a Business Associate Agreement (BAA), not by this website policy.

2. How we use information

  • To respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form or email.
  • To schedule and manage consultations booked through Calendly.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve productbox.dev.
  • To understand aggregate visitor behavior (e.g. which pages are most useful) so we can keep the site relevant.
  • To meet legal, contractual, and security obligations.

3. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers we rely on to run the site and our operations: for example, our hosting provider, email provider, and Calendly for scheduling. These providers only receive what they need to perform their function.
  • Legal and safety: if required to comply with a legal obligation, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Productbox, our clients, or others.
  • Business transfers: if Productbox is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same protections described here.

4. How we protect information

Security is core to how we build software, and we hold our own site to the same bar we hold client systems to: encryption in transit, access controls, and role-based permissions on internal systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so while we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data retention

We retain contact form submissions and email correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and maintain business records, and delete or anonymize it when it's no longer needed, unless a longer period is required by law or a signed client agreement.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict our use of your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@productbox.dev and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

You can also opt out of non-essential email communication at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in our messages, or by contacting us directly.

7. Children's privacy

productbox.dev is a business-to-business site intended for professional audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and regulatory reasons. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be reflected here.
